Ford F100 Police Paddy Wagon by Trax

G’day model car fans! And Aussie motoring history fans… This is the latest release by Trax. The 1980’s Aussie built F100 NSW Police Paddy Wagon. A lot of my posts have a personal angle, like I have either owned or had some association with the models I post her, however, this is not the case here. All I can say I remember these wagons in NSW police livery but never was thrown into the back of one!

So, let me just say this, some of the recent resin 1/43 releases have not been the best. If you’re interested I can offer some examples, BUT, this is one of their best of late. I have looked closely at this little beauty and its pretty good. Ok so here are a few more photos for your enjoyment. The 1/43 scale F100 NSWPOL Paddy Wagon. Enjoy!

Aussie Panel Van: Ford Falcon XD Police Divvy Van

Ford XD Falcons were produced in Australia from 1979 -1982. Ford Australia produced the XD in Sedan, Wagon, Ute and Panel Van format. Some of these commercial vans saw service with the Victoria Police as Divisional Vans, or ‘Divvy Vans’, as shown here in 1/43 diecast format

The Falcon Van here has the 4.1 badges which means that the 4.1 Litre 6 Cylinder engine was under the bonnet. And if you played up or were a crook, you got thrown in the back.

Mitsubishi Pajero NSW Police Vehicle

Hello and welcome again to Doogies Diecast blog. In this post we have a 1/43 diecast model of a New South Wales (Australia) Police Force Mitsubishi Pajero. I have seen a few NSW Police Pajeros but every one has been white in colour and I dont know much about the reasoning behind this model other than it is perhaps based on a fleet test vehicle of some sort before they took to the Pajeros in numbers. I am only speculating, if you know better please contact me. Any info would be appreciated.

The Pajero, like any other Mitsubishi is a durable vehicle and I can see why the NSW Police would use them. The one modelled here is a GLX badged vehicle. In fact, this is a very well done model by Vitesse. It is one of only 999 and I think if you search around you will be able to find one and you wont pay the proverbial arm and leg for it either.
