1969 Ford Falcon 500 XW Ute

Hi and welcome to another Aussie Utes post. This time we feature the Trax 1/43 scale diecast model of the 1969 Ford Falcon 500 XW ute. I want to start by saying this is one of the best put together diecast models I own or have seen. They must have really hit their quality control right on with this model.

The detail on this model is so good that the 3.6 litre badge can be clearly seen, telling us this is the 221 cubic inch six cylinder model. In 1969 Ford Australia offered a range of engines in the XW range, including a smaller 6 and of course a larger v8 engine.

Ford produced some good utes in the day, and many would prefer the XY which came out after the XW, but who would say no to a XW ute in bronze that looked as good as this nowadays?
